The benefits and advantages of using GRP pipes
Weight and Strength: Fibreglass pipes are lightweight and exceptionally strong. They are fabricated to handle light to moderate pressure. They pipes are lightweight in-comparison to iron, mild steel, HDPE pipes and other traditional methods. Because of it’s light weight they are easily handled, transported and installed. The qualities listed make GRP pipes much more durable, sustainable, reliable and cost effective option than traditional systems.
Hydraulic efficiency: GRP/Fibreglass pipes have a smooth internal surface which gives excellent hydraulic characteristics, high flow capacity and low friction. They can also be used for pumping and because of their high flow capacity and low friction properties money is saved on electricity usage.
Sustainability: Because Fibreglass as a material is extremely durable very little to no maintenance during the pipes service life is required.
Electrical conductivity: Fibreglass has no electrical conductivity, this will prevent any accidental currents from traveling through the GRP Pipes and causing harm to persons on-site.
Thermally insulating: GRP has a significantly lower heat distribution gradient than steel and aluminium, enabling energy efficient end products.
